Guinea

Guinea map Guinea was a French colony until 1958. Apart from savanna grassland around the rivers and coast, it is mountainous and covered with tropical rainforest. The capital is Conakry, a city of about half a million people; however most of the population lives in rural areas.

Population: 10 million. Languages: French, plus 8 native languages. Main religion: Muslim.
