Burundi lies at the northern tip of Lake Tanganyika. Employment is mainly in agriculture. It was a long standing monarchy which became German then Belgian after 1918. It gained independent republic status in 1965.

CBM activities Annual visits have been made since 1995.
Ecclesias Buganda, Bujumbura, Mabanda, Muyinga at Gasorwe refugee camp, Nyanza-Lac, Rumonge (about 100 members).
